Evidenced by the often crooked fronts and jagged cuts around the ears, it is pretty obvious that mommy does the haircutting in this house. With Caleb's waves, his hair has been more forgiving of mommy's blunders and I can usually hide the errors with a simple comb over. Seth's hair is a different story, though, as each inadvertent chop shows quite clearly on his straighter hair. Oh well, until the boys really start complaining, we will save our $10-$12 per boy every two weeks and put it toward something more fun.

This time, however, we decided to fore go the homemade mommy haircuts. We were home this weekend in Kentucky, and since Memaw had hired a photographer to take pictures of the boys outside, we decided that the boys would get professional 'dos. First thing on Saturday morning, Eric took the boys to get "real" haircuts. I don't think I was quite prepared for the finished product. On Seth, at least. I knew he desperately needed a trim and some shaping up from his last mommy haircut, but I wasn't quite ready to say goodbye to his precious little "I'm not quite yet a big boy" curls. Don't get me wrong, he looks so very handsome with his new big boy hairdo. I am just not sure if I am ready to admit that he is becoming the little dude who matches the hair.
