Our version of C-A-T-S

Even though we were all under the weather this morning, we had a lot of fun cheering the Cats on as they beat Tennessee to end the regular season, clinching a bye in the first round of the SEC tournament next week.  Woo Hoo!! 

Yeah, although we may all be Tennesseans now in this house, our hearts will always be with the Big Blue.  And this season, we have even gotten to cheer on UK in person a few times.  Two weeks ago, we traveled to Rupp Arena to watch Kentucky stomp all over South Carolina.   And stomp they did!

We had such a fun time!  Memaw and Pepaw were generous enough to give us a couple of tickets, so Eric, Granny, Caleb, and I headed up to Lexington to scream our heads off, jump up and down, and have fun amid the sea of blue at Rupp Arena.  And before you start feeling too sorry for Sethie (remember, the rule in our house is that you have to be five before you get treated to UK game at Rupp), he was not entirely left out in the cold.  He got to have a very special date with Aunt B.  They hit two different parks and McDonalds (twice) and he got to have Aunt B all to himself.  It may have just been his best day ever! 

As for those of us who went to the game, we had a pretty good time ourselves.  We met up with Memaw and Pepaw at Moe's to hang out a bit before the game. 

It was pretty hard for Caleb to contain his excitement about the day!

Then we all headed over to Rupp for the action.  Our seats were not all together, so groups of two set out on our separate ways around the arena. Mom and I were all settled into our seats, ready for the game, and then we realized (actually the gentlman beside of us pointed it out to us) that we were in the right row, right seats, just in the wrong section.  Oops! We waited for the starting line-up to be announced and then we made our way to our correct seats.  The funny thing was, the exact same thing happened to Eric and Biz.   Oh well, I guess it is good that there really are no bad seats in Rupp.

We had such a good time cheering on the Cats and it was extra fun because I got to do it alongside mom.  We had a good time giving our own commentary and jumping up when a three was made by our boys in blue.  And from a distance (if we squinted just right) , we were able to see another little person waving his "3" sign in the air with excitement when the Cats were able to sink one, which they did many, many times throughout this game.

It was pretty much Kentucky the entire game, as they lead by twenty to thirty points most of the time.  The final score was 90-59.   Great game!  Great victory!  Great time with the fam! 

March is always such a fun time of year in our house!  We love March madness!  But it is a little sad, too, because it means that college basketball season is coming to an end.  However, we will chose to enjoy this month, be a little sad in April, and wait patiently for October.  At least we will have the summer in between to keep us occupied.  It has been an up and down season, especially in conference play for our Cats, but you will always find us cheering them on...really loudly!
