Waking Up to Three

Sethie turned three last Friday and we started his new year off by waking him up to the lovely sound of Workman voices singing "Happy Birthday".  We also brought along the white powdered doughnuts.  Not the healthiest way to ring in another year, but hey, you are only three once!  He actually missed the balloon launch from the top bunk by daddy and Biz, because he was too busy stuffing his little cheeks with  a doughnut, which was really funny.  So, they recreated it for him when he was a little less distracted.

I wasn't sure how Seth would handle being woke up on terms that were not his own.  He is much like his Mommy in the morning.  We don't enjoy being roused from sleep by outside sources and it takes us a little while to accept the fact that our slumber has come to an end.  This is in great contrast to Biz and Daddy who are "morning people," and bounce out of bed ready for the day with a smile on their faces.  Not Sethie and I.  We can be morning grumps.

But you would have never known that from Sethie's reaction to all of the Birthday Hooplah!  He loved it and was happy as a little birthday clam!
