The Culprit
The Damage
The injury did not actually require two bandaids, but you can see the demeanor change once the additional bandaid was applied.
And we would have done anything to calm that sweet, precious baby's tears after he collided with the corner of the wall. It just so happened to be the same wall, opposite corner, that Caleb plowed into when he was close to the same age, that resulted in a deep gash on his upper forehead and nearly required a trip to the ER.
I was very surprised that he allowed me to apply ice to his boo boo. Something that I have never been able to accomplish with his big brother. He was a good little patient and after some cuddling and of course, the bandaids, he was fine and dandy.
The first thing he did when he woke up this morning was run to the mirror to make sure his little "battle badges" were still in place. He was really sad to have to depart with them for his shower, but when he realized there was a little pain involved in removing the bandaids, he decided that he had healed enough to no longer require their assistance. The cut is small and not deep at all, so Mommy agreed.
Hopefully, both boys will stop trying to take out the walls. My mom just laughs when I tell her stories like this, because she remembers me being the same way. We are just on-the-go and when a wall stands in our way, we assume we can just run right through it. Times like this make us realize we aren't quite as indestructable as we think we are. Thank goodness God gave us hard heads!!
I didn't get a good shot of that side of his face today, but I think this picture shows that little buddy is doing just fine!!
