In the mornings when Seth wakes up, if I am already downstairs, he will stand on the steps quietly and wait for me to notice him. When I come over to greet him, he jumps into my arms. And then I get to love all over him.
This morning, when he jumped into my arms, I swept him up, smothered him and kisses and cradled him in my arms.
That last part was my mistake.
Quickly, Seth proclaimed, "Hey! I am not a baby anymore."
Oops!
So, I promptly took him out of the cradled position and continued my kisses, hugging him upright in my arms...like a big boy.
No more objections from the non-baby.
Both Mommy and Sethie were satisfied!
