Last Friday, Biz and I went on a special "Mommy and Caleb" date. Eric took the afternoon off to hang out with little brother, and Biz and I were off to our surprise destination, for our day of fun. Since his buddy, Elliott, and my buddy, Kristin went too, I guess it was more of a double date. We had a great day that started with lunch at Cracker Barrel (of course) and then an adventure at the Discovery Science Museum.
That place is so COOL! The boys had a blast! And had lots of "work to do" as they explored all the different activity stations. The real fire truck, complete with actual fireman coats, boots, and hats, the water play area, and the contruction areas were big hits with the boys. But the absolute favorite place to play for Biz was the automobile service station. He would have probably spent the entire time there, if I hadn't encouraged him to see what else the museum had to offer. He got to change tires (his favorite part), change a muffler and license plates, check the oil and fluids levels many times. Many, many times. I had to drag him away from all of the repair work. Maybe we will one day get a mechanic in the family. With our vehicle "luck," having a mechanic around would be pretty nice.

The day was topped off with milkshakes on the ride home. A wonderful date with my Biz!
