Well said.
We second that in the Workman house.
However, for the past couple of seasons, we have actually begun to enjoy watching football, especially the littlest Workman. All last fall, whenever football was on television, Sethie could be found with a football in hand, squatting down in line formation, and throwing himself on the ground, yelling "touchdown." He would intently sit and watch the game and try his best to imitate the players. I cringe to say, I think he more intently watched the football games than...gasp...the basketball games last year.
That is why it was such a surprise when Memaw and Pepaw got him his own Titans football uniform for Christmas, complete with helmet, and we rarely found him wearing it. Especially after Seth spent every Sunday in the fall running into walls at the Powell's house, because the football helmet that he wore the ENTIRE time we were at small group, was a bit too big for that head of his.
But...
On Friday night, Eric had a preseason game on. Neither of us were really watching it, but within a few minutes of it being on, Sethie was geared up and ready to go! He made plays, threw passes (and he has quite an arm for such a little guy), and was falling to the ground as he was tackled.
Oh yes, I think the uniform will get much wear this football season! He has it neatly laid out on the floor beside of his bed in anticipation for the next game. Tonight while we were reading our bible story, he said, "Mommy, make sure you don't sit on my football uniform."
It should be a fun season!
As we patiently await college basketball season.
By the way, Biz designated himself Sethie's coach.
"That is why I am wearing a hat. Coaches wear hats."
This perfectly illustrates their relationship.
