This morning, Caleb got up at the crack of dawn, got himself speedily dressed, and began asking if it was time to go to Chuck E. Cheese. He continued to ask every five minutes, for the remainder of the morning, until we arrived at Mr. Cheese's f
ront door. For this reason, we usually do not tell our boys when they are going to have a special treat until the actual moment that the treat will take place. I am not sure why we deviated from this practice on this occasion. We will know better next time. Seth jabbered all morning about going to see Mickey Mouse and was only disappointed for about half a second when he realized that we were indeed going to visit a different mouse. He is the flexible one, after all.

I did learn today that it is impossible to get your two-year-old to look at the camera when you are in that place. There is way too much stimulation to focus on mommy and smile. However, Seth did not have any problem staying focused on Chuck E. as he sang and moved on the stage. That is probably
the longest that I have seen Seth stay in one place in a very long time.

So, thank you, Granny, for sharing your weekend with us, including our special lunch today!! And for the countless other things you did for us while you were here (including bringing the boys those snazzy UK outfits that they are sporting in the pictures).
We love you and miss you already!
